Our Restructuring and Advisory Division appoints new director to corporate finance team

Our Restructuring and Advisory Division has appointed a new director, Valentina Vitali, to its corporate finance team following record-breaking success.

Valentina’s appointment follows a significantly active period for our Restructuring and Advisory Division and the wider K3 Capital Group’s corporate finance teams. This includes our Restructuring and Advisory Division’s team completing eight transactions in the last fortnight, at a combined value of over £130m, and KBS being named as the UK’s most active M&A adviser across multiple regions across the UK in the Experian MarketIQ UK and Ireland M&A review.

Prior to joining the firm, Valentina was an associate director at Grant Thornton, focusing on private equity transactions and origination. In this role, she was responsible for driving the company’s strategy and managing relationships with UK focused private equity (PE) funds. Valentina has also held various roles at two of the Big Four firms.

In her new role, Valentina will be based out of our London office, where she will be responsible for strengthening client relationships with private equity firms across the UK. Valentina will also work across all corporate finance teams in the K3 Capital Group, supporting the full range of transactions that the group advises on and helping to develop their offering.

Valentina Vitali commented: “Following an initial lull caused by the national lockdown, private equity houses have remained active in the UK market to capitalise on high growth businesses. With considerable dry powder to deploy, I see a real opportunity for our corporate finance teams to make a real difference to PE firms and their clients, and I am very excited to be a part of this.”

Mark Lucas, corporate finance lead across the K3 Capital Group, added: “We’ve seen fantastic growth in the last 12 months across our corporate finance teams, bolstered by the merger between our Restructuring and Advisory Division and the K3 Capital Group. A boom in the deals market before the Spring Budget announcement saw our Restructuring and Advisory Division advise on a record number of deals within a fortnight – something that is indicative of the appetite for new transactions among businesses and PE houses.

“We are incredibly proud of these collective achievements and the appointment of Valentina signals an exciting point in our growth trajectory. Her experience and knowledge of the PE landscape means that we can enhance services offered across this space.”
